Introducing the RAID Canopy
There is no more practical solution than an aluminium canopy for your bakkie.
Installing a canopy onto your bakkie provides a huge improvement in practicality, security and storage capacity. Double cab canopies give you a place to securely store your tools, camping and touring gear, provide shelter from the sun and rain, and increase your storage capacity, not just of the tub but also your roof load.
Light, not lightweight
The RAID Canopy, by IRONMAN 4x4, is manufactured from aluminium, offering a substantial weight saving even over fibreglass and ABS alternatives. While light in weight (approximately 65kg), the RAID Canopy has a load rating of 180kg dynamic* and 350kg static.
The RAID Canopy has been independently tested, and was proven able to withstand over 2 tonnes loaded to its roof in a static test. It also survived a 1.4t pull test and a corrugation test which delivered 1.6 million oscillations in just 16 hours, all with a loaded roof of tent, awning and ensuite.
Practicality plus
The aluminium structural design offers improved access to your tub through wide, tall canopy windows. Measuring 1100mm wide and almost 400mm tall, the side access windows make living with your bakkie a breeze.
Built into the roof are integrated roof rails, allowing easy installation of cross bars to suit your needs, from transporting timber to mounting your rooftop tent and awning.
Designed to let you explore, not let you down
Each RAID Canopy is designed with an integrated tub-strengthening bracket specific to your bakkie. The brackets use existing structural points to bolt directly into, for a seamless integration between canopy and tub.
Inside the canopy you will find significant structural bracing along the sills and throughout the pillars, and wide spreader plates which join the canopy panels firmly together for a robust and weatherproof seal.
Made to tour and to work
The RAID Canopy carries many inclusions which help trades and tourers alike: integrated roof rails for simplicity in roof setups, an incorporated pressure vent to minimise dust ingress, twin gas-assist struts in each window and door for hassle-free access, captive nutserts throughout for internal accessory fitment, and pre-established 12V wiring routes with built-in cable tie provisions.

The dynamic rating, 180kg, is the figure that governs what you can carry while the vehicle is moving, and it is the one that decides whether a rooftop tent can go up there. The static rating, 350kg, applies when you are parked. Both are the canopy's ratings; your vehicle's own tub load rating applies as well, and the lower of the two governs.

Not included: window mesh security panels (which double as internal storage frames), roof load bars, cross bars, drawer systems, rooftop tents and awnings. All are available separately for this canopy. Accessories shown on the vehicle in product images are not included.
Choosing between Full Glass and Hybrid: Full Glass gives you glass side windows: more light and visibility, and the option to add mesh security panels behind them. Hybrid gives you solid aluminium sides: more security, no view in or out. Both share the same shell, the same roof rails and the same load ratings.
Installation and who fits it

Fitting should be done by a qualified fitter: damage caused by incorrect fitting is not covered by warranty. Warranty
RAID canopies carry a 3-year manufacturer's warranty against manufacturing defects, including broken components, dents and powder coat defects. It does not cover damage resulting from misuse, accident or improper installation. Approved claims are addressed based on the nature and extent of the issue; a full canopy replacement is considered case by case, depending on the severity of the defect. This is an oversized item. Delivery is quoted at checkout once you have entered your address, so you see the exact amount before you pay. Collection from our Midrand warehouse is free: choose Pickup at the first step of checkout.
