Which size is right for my bakkie or SUV?

The 180° 2m is the most popular fit for double cabs and full-size SUVs. If you are running a smaller SUV or a compact bakkie, the 180° 1.75m or the 90° compact will suit you well. If you want a full wraparound camp that covers you from the side and the rear, the 270° is the one.

Can I really set this up on my own?

Yes. The freestanding aluminium frame is designed to be a solo deploy. Swing the arms out, lock them in, tension the ropes. One person.

How does it hold up in a Highveld afternoon storm?

The canvas is rated to 2000mm of water resistance. For heavier conditions, the integrated support poles drop in and lock. The 270° model also includes a dedicated rain drainage pole to keep water moving off the canvas rather than pooling. It is built for African weather, not just a drizzle.

Does the blackout fabric actually keep it cooler underneath?

It does. The UV50+ blackout coating stops heat from penetrating through the canvas, which means the air beneath a Deltawing is genuinely cooler than standing in open sun. That is the difference between a shady spot and a space you actually want to sit in at midday.

How does the LED lighting work?

LED strips are built into the awning arms and connect via magnetic cables. They run off any USB power source, including a power bank, your vehicle's USB port or a portable battery. Three colour modes, and dimmable. Enough light for cooking, eating and keeping the camp going well into the evening.

Can I use it alongside a rooftop tent?

Yes. The Deltawing is designed to work alongside your rooftop tent setup. It mounts to the side of your roof rack and deploys independently, giving you covered ground-level space while your sleeping setup stays above.

Is it suitable for coastal and beach use?

Yes, though as with all aluminium equipment, a rinse after saltwater exposure keeps it in top shape for longer. The frame and hardware are built tough, and the canvas handles coastal conditions well.
