ALUMINIUM CONSTRUCTION

IM2.5 is made from aircraft-grade 6061-T6 aluminium, which is 30% lighter than traditional steel shocks. This reduces unsprung weight, improves responsiveness and helps your suspension react faster to changing terrain.

Aluminium also dissipates heat four times more efficiently than steel, keeping shocks cooler under sustained loads and maintaining performance over long distances.

MONOTUBE DESIGN

Unlike twin-tube shocks, IM2.5 uses a monotube configuration with an Internal Floating Piston (IFP). This separates 200 PSI nitrogen gas from the hydraulic oil, preventing aeration and ensuring consistent damping — even under repeated hard use.

The monotube layout also allows inverted mounting, keeping the shock body high and protected from rocks and debris.

CNC-Ported Piston & PTFE-Teflon Band

The IM2.5 piston is CNC-ported billet aluminium with a PTFE-Teflon band and O-ring sealing. This precise engineering allows oil to flow smoothly, softening minor bumps while maintaining firm control on larger impacts.

The result is refined ride quality without compromising handling.

HEAVY DUTY SEALS & RODS

Class-leading NOK seals on the IFP separate gas and oil reliably, preventing leaks or foaming.

The 20mm hardened steel piston rod, combined with a robust dirt shield, ensures durability where shocks experience the most stress — maintaining smooth operation mile after mile.

Every component — from the billet piston to the monotube body — is designed to work together.

WALL THICKNESS & PROTECTION

IM2.5 shock bodies feature 3–4mm wall thickness and are finished with ultra-thick Type II anodising.

This combination provides superior corrosion resistance, abrasion protection, and strength, even under harsh off-road conditions.
