Military-grade foam cell technology engineered for heavy overland use, sustained loads, and the unforgiving terrain that breaks lesser shocks, kilometre after kilometre, continent after continent.
Foam Cell Technology
The defining feature of FCP. Instead of relying on pressurised nitrogen gas to prevent oil aeration, FCP uses a microcellular foam insert that absorbs displaced oil as the shock cycles.
The result is no pressurised gas to lose and no aeration under hard sustained use, even when the shock is working hard for hours on end. Damping stays consistent and predictable exactly when you need it most.
Twin-Tube Construction
FCP uses a reinforced twin-tube body: an inner working chamber surrounded by an outer reservoir. This design carries more oil than a comparable monotube, giving FCP greater thermal capacity for long, hot, heavy days behind the wheel.
The twin-tube layout is also inherently more impact-tolerant: a dented outer tube doesn't necessarily disable the shock. For overland and remote-area use, that resilience matters.
Multi-Stage Progressive Valving
FCP shocks are tuned with multi-stage valving that responds differently to low-speed inputs (body roll, weight transfer) and high-speed inputs (corrugations, sharp impacts).
The result is composure under load on the highway and absorption on the rough, without the harshness of a single-stage performance shock or the wallow of a stock unit.
20mm Hardened Chrome Piston Rod
Industrial-grade hardened steel rod, chrome-finished for corrosion and scoring resistance. Backed by an external dirt shield that keeps abrasive contaminants away from the rod, critical on Africa's dust, mud, river crossings and salt routes.
Sealed-For-Life Construction
FCP shocks are factory-sealed, factory-charged units. There is nothing to top up, no gas pressure to lose, and no rebuild schedule to keep track of. The shock body is finished to resist corrosion, UV and abrasion, and the external dirt shield protects the rod from contamination. Fit them and trust them.
Tuned for the Loaded Vehicle
FCP is specifically valved for vehicles carrying weight. Spring rates are matched to GVM, payload and accessory profile, including options for long-range tanks, canopies, drawer systems and rear bumpers.
