A 2-inch suspension lift kit built on the IM2.5 monotube platform, matched to the Ford Ranger Next Gen and the VW Amarok Gen II, with Pro Forge Upper Control Arms included as standard.
The aluminium advantage
Aluminium is lighter than steel: the IM2.5 offers a 30% weight reduction over a twin-tube steel shock absorber. The aircraft-grade 6061-T6 aluminium body also offers improved cooling, which means a shock absorber that can run harder for longer without diminishing performance. Aluminium has four times the thermal conductivity of steel.
Ultimate tuning
The IM2.5 Monotube series features a CNC-ported billet aluminium piston with an O-ring sealed PTFE Teflon band. The precision channelling allows tuning fine enough to soften the smallest bumps in the road. The billet aluminium Internal Floating Piston carries class-leading NOK seals and separates the high-pressure 200 PSI nitrogen gas from the Fuchs hydraulic oil.
Built to last
With a wall thickness of 3 to 4mm across the range, the IM2.5 monotube tube is finished with ultra-thick, durable Type 2 anodising. The monotube design also allows the shock absorbers to be mounted upside down, keeping the body high and away from rocks and debris, with the 20mm hardened steel piston rod positioned downward and protected by a robust dirt shield.
Complete by design
Most suspension kits stop at the shocks and leave you to source Upper Control Arms separately. Not the IM2.5. Pro Forge Upper Control Arms are included as standard, ensuring correct suspension geometry and precise handling from the moment of fitment. No additional parts to chase down.

What's in the box
Nine items, listed with their part numbers and quantities in the What's inside the kit table above: leaf springs, IM2.5 monotube coilover front shock absorbers, IM2.5 rear shock absorbers, a U-bolt kit, a polyurethane spring bush kit, greasable shackles, a centre bearing spacer kit, a rear bump stop spacer kit, and Pro Forge Upper Control Arms.
The Upper Control Arms are the difference between this kit and the rest of the range. On most lift kits they are a separate purchase; here they are in the box, so the suspension geometry is corrected from the moment of fitment.
Not included: wheel alignment after fitment. See below.
Installation and who fits it
Suspension is not a DIY-friendly fit. Fitment must be done by an authorised or licensed mechanic competent with suspension installations, and special tools may be required, including for struts. Damage caused by incorrect fitting is not covered by warranty.
Two steps after fitment are the owner's responsibility and are warranty conditions:
- A safety check at 500km after fitment.
- A wheel alignment. We recommend one after fitting any new suspension component.

Warranty
Suspension carries a 4-year, unlimited kilometre warranty from the date of retail sale, for the original buyer, when purchased new from IRONMAN 4x4 Africa or an authorised reseller. It does not apply where the product has been modified, fitted to a vehicle it is not specified for, used in racing or competition, or used beyond the original vehicle manufacturer's expectations. Damage caused by incorrect fitting is not covered, and the warranty may become void if the kit is installed together with components that are not genuine manufacturer or IRONMAN 4X4 parts.
